## Overview

The Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Medical Logistics - Enterprise Solution (DML-ES) Common User Interface and Common Services prototype was an enterprise application built to improve the design, architecture, and usability of an existing system to support military medical supply operations in an environment of rapid technological change.

## Challenges

The existing medical supply system was inefficient and had limited integration with other logistics systems. The project needed a prototype that could demonstrate more consistent business processes, improved usability, and a path toward streamlined medical logistics operations.

## Process & Solution

- Gathered requirements with a business analyst and expert user to understand operational needs.
- Created personas and wireframes based on User-Center Design (UCD) principles.
- Designed and developed the front-end from scratch for the working prototype.
- DLearned and applied Section 508 requirements independently, including accessibility checks and documentation.
- Authored project documentation for information architecture, interaction design, and the UI style guide.
